In the Communications course, a few games and activities have been added to the Expressive Communications topic.
The Communications course is useful for children with Special needs. Games and activities make learning fun.
The following games have been added to the Expressive Communication topic:
In this game, the child has to look at the pictures and find something similar.
The child can touch or hover over the sentence to hear the sentence. Same with the options provided. A short video of the game is available at the link below ( you can subscribe to the YouTube channel and of course, this blog for regular updates).
In this game, the student has to drag one of the words to fill the blank.
3. Pictorial story
This game is based on some famous tales. The story has been represented with pictures. The student has to look at the pictures, read the question and then drag the correct picture to answer the question.
As with all the games, the software reads out the words on touching or hovering over the sentence.
While all children will enjoy these games and activities, children with Autism or ASD will benefit from these games. Children with Special needs can also learn reading while playing these games. The audio helps them read the words. If the child has learnt reading or is almost there, the audio can be switched off.
All games work on mobile devices ( iPad,iPhone, Android tabs and phones) as well as on laptop or pc.
Please provide your comments/ thoughts about these games.
